Your Custom Workshop

You gather the group, I provide the instruction!

This offering is for a custom private workshop tailored for 6-8 people. Content can be general/introductory or focused on a specific topic of interest. I’d love to collaborate with you and develop a 1.5–2 hour curriculum that would best support your team! Some ideas to get you started include:

  • On-the-Spot Practices for Daily Life at Home/Work
  • Mindful Movement (for those who "can't sit still")
  • Meditation in Recovery
  • Winding Down: Evening Practices to Support Sleep

Participants will receive a private link to download workshop materials, including a recording of the session, if you choose.

Settled, Peaceful, and Content: Mindfulness practices to support a life in recovery

A four-week class for people in recovery from substance abuse or other addictive behaviors.

Learning objectives include:

  • Understand fundamentals of mindfulness
  • Learn day-to-day practices to support emotional regulation and ease of wellbeing
  • Begin home sitting practice
  • Gain resources to support ongoing practice, including reading materials, recorded meditations, and community of fellow practitioners

Midweek Mindfulness at Kaiser (PAUSED)

A free drop-in mindfulness meditation session on Wednesdays at Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center. The Meditation/Prayer Room is located on the first floor of the hospital, near the MacArthur Street entrance.

All are welcome.

Weekly drop-in mindfulness meditation via Zoom

  • Could you benefit* from a simple pause in your day?
  • Are you curious about mindfulness?

Mindfulness practices have scientific support as a means to reduce stress, improve attention, boost the immune system, and promote a general sense of health and well-being.

We begin with some basic instruction and ~10 minutes of guided meditation, then enter silence together, and close with an optional Q&A. Find out how this practice can support wellbeing and bring a little ease to your day. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.

*For most people, the answer is YES!

COST:

I believe mindfulness practices offer powerful support for public health and should be as accessible as possible to all. I also recognize that we live in challenging times and operate within a deeply inequitable economic system. As such, this is a 'pay from the heart' offering with no minimum fee.

This means that when you register you will have the opportunity to choose how much to contribute, based on what works best for you in the moment, which might be zero. I understand this is somewhat unusual, so I've included suggested amounts to (hopefully!) help you decide. Please know that all are welcome and appreciated, regardless of payment received.
